the short version:

I love designing and building.

 

the long version:

I was born and raised in Dubuque, Iowa. I can remember building and creating ever since I was a young boy. Whether it was cardboard hideouts for my action figures or nailed together pieces of wood for a bike jump, I was always designing something.

 

My early appreciation for design and creativity led to an interest in graphic design. In 2005, I graduated from Iowa State University with a degree in Graphic Design. While at Iowa State I discovered two great loves. One was wood design. My senior year of college I enrolled in a wood design studio. The class truly opened my eyes to what was possible. I remember skipping my other classes to gain extra time in the wood shop. I learned a lot from that class – much of which I still use today.

The second and greater love I found at Iowa State was my wife, Kimberly. The term “better half” has never been more true. We actually met on a bus while going to class. I can't remember everything I said, but it must have worked, because today we have three young boys, a dog, and an amazing life together. 

 

My wife is my biggest client and my number one fan. We share a love for family, a passion for design and an overall desire to be good people.
